News & Updates....
1st September 2010:
I cant believe I haven't updated since February!!! So much has happened
with all the puppies. We are in touch with all the puppy owners and all
are doing well and much loved family pets. On a showing front Rumer's
first show was Birmingham National where she got 1st place in minor
puppy bitch qualifying her for Crufts 2010. Since then she has won best
puppy bitch at Border Union and also 2nd place at Leeds. Just this
weekend she exceeded all expectations by winning Junior bitch, Best
Puppy and then the Bitch Challenge Certificate, making her the youngest
Leo ever to win this award. Our Judge at SKC was Breed Specialist
Mr. Bill Crawley whom we cant thank enough.
Kenda has also been out at a few shows and has also qualified for Crufts
as well as taking a best Puppy bitch at Blackpool.
Mojo has been a busy boy and has qualified for Crufts and had a Best puppy
in Breed at Blackpool. He has also passed his P.A.T. dog assessment as well as passing his GOLD Good Citizens award at the tender age of 9mths, not just a good looking boy but brains too.
Angus has been busy with his obedience classes and continues to do well
and is the centre of attention in his house.
Morven is loving her life on Lismore and is best friends with a Shetland
pony as well as the lambs and many other animals she lives with.
Sahara is also doing well and being spoiled by her family down in Ayrshire.
Larson is another busy boy who has been doing really well at shows and has
also had a best puppy at Border Union and best puppy dog at SKC and also
winning Reserve CC qualifying him for Crufts for life!! Larson also does weekly training and water work which he loves just like his Mum.
I will be updating the puppies photographs over the next few days.
19th February 2010:
I have added a litter page with photo's of all the pups in their new
homes. I hope to regularly update with new photo's as the pups grow.
Mojo, Sahara and Rumer have all graduated from puppy foundation
classes and will continue with their training :-)
8th Ferbruary 2010:
We have been busy so are a bit behind with the updates!! Well all the
pups left for their new homes in December. The house was very quiet
after they left but as we kept a pup ourself it has never been that quiet!
I have added a new page for our puppy Rumer and also for Mojo who we
own in partnership. I am going to update the puppy page with some new
photo's of the litter in their new homes over the next few days.
9th December 2009:
Well the puppies are now 6 1/2 weeks old!! All are doing well and they
are all very even. Brook has been a fantastic Mum and still enjoys playing
with the puppies as does their Aunty Neala. The first of the pups will be
off to their new homes next week. And by Saturday the 19th we will
have just one little girl left who will be staying :-)
I have added some up to date photos on the puppies page and a new video
of the puppies enjoying playing with their Mum.
5th November 2009:
New puppy video/photos added on puppies page.
Puppies are all doing well and now weigh around 1.5 kilos!
Brook is still enjoying being a mum and we are loving the experience of
having our first litter minus the tiredness :-)
New photos to folloe this weekend.
Thanks to all the newspapers & well wishes from the dogwalkers at
Glenifer Braes. Brook will be back running around with you all soon.
28th October 2009:
Well Brook decided to have her puppies a few days early on Sunday 25th
October. The puppies 3 boys and 4 girls were all good weights ranging
from 520g -620g and have in only a few days put on between 150-200g
each!!
Brook couldnt be a better mum and is extremely attentive to the pups.
Please see Puppies page for photo's.
23rd September 2009:
We are very pleased to say Brook has been confirmed in Pup to JB!!!
I dont think she knows the excitment she is causing as we have waited
and put so much into this along with help from friends. She is lapping
up all the extra attention she is getting and looking fantastic.
More news to follow soon.
27th August 2009:
We are pleased to say we have had two good matings and are now
keeping everything crossed that puppies will be on their way.
Brook will be scanned at 28 days and all being well puppies will be due
around the 27th of October. We are so pleased with our choice of dog,
JB is everything I hoped for. He has the most loving nature just like
Brook which they will hopefully pass on to their offspring.
Big thankyou to Glenda for letting us use JB, Ricky & Tracy ( I owe you
a dry cleaning voucher) and Mandy who was a star.
10th July 2009:
28th of June was Blackpool Champ show, our Judge was breed
specialist Sarah Sevastopulo. This was Brooks first time in Limit class
and I was worried she was still a bit immature for it. Brook amazed
us by being awarded 1st place in a strong class, she then went on to
take the Bitch CC and also Best of Breed!!! Later in the working group
under Mr Andrew Brace she was short listed to the final 8.
Neala also had a great day being placed 3rd in a very strong open class
behind two other champions.
SKC and Blackpool Critiques added.
We are now just waiting on Brook coming into season when she will
hopefully be mated to JB from the Vannroy Kennel
( see picture of JB opposite)
Although our waiting list is filling up please get in touch if you would
like to be considered for a puppy from this very exciting combination.
26th June 2009:
We went down to Kelso last Sunday for Border Union Champ show. It was the first time this show has had tickets or classes on for Leonbergers.
The weather was great, possibly even a bit too hot especially for the dogs!
Our Judge was breed specialist Mr Ray Bolt ( Cabandray).
Brook was entered into post grad for the last time and I was thrilled when he awarded her 1st place. Neala went on to get 1st in Open Bitch and the Bitch CC. I cant thank Ray enough for thinking so highly of both my girls :-)
In the boys our friend Donna came all the way down from Aberdeen so we were so pleased for her when Denzel came 2nd in his class and qualified for Crufts 2010.
Barbara's Evo came 2nd in Open and Ann's boys Ramsay, 2nd in puppy and then Chelan getting 1st in Open, the dog CC and Best of Breed.
Well done Ann, it was well deserved and we were happy we were there to see it.
New critiques to be added to Brook and Neala's pages from SKC.
19th May 2009:
What a week we have had! I didnt think anything could top last week but on Sunday at SKC our breed was being judged by Mr Frank Kane. Brook was in first and got placed 1st in post grad. Neala was in a very large open class with many top bitches and got placed 1st also! She then went on to receive the CC (her 4th) and Best of Breed. This was the 3rd year in a row Neala has got the CC at this show. Later in the working group Neala performed really well and was shortlisted in a very tough group. We were over the moon with both our girls results and really pleased for all our other friends.
I have updated Neala and Brooks show wins and critiques.
10th May 2009:
We attended Birmingham National Champ show yesterday with Brook and Neala. I am thrilled to say Brook not only came first in Post Grad but also won the Bitch CC (her 1st) and then went on to take Best of Breed !!!
I was speechless for once lol, and cant thank the judge Mr Steve Hall enough for thinking so highly of my girl. Neala also came a very respectable 3rd in a large open Bitch class so a great day for us.
The day of coarse was made even better by the great company and the laughs we had throughout the day :-)

We went to Clydebank and district open show today with Brook. We were thrilled when she won 1st in Leonberger, best of Breed and then 3rd in a strong Working Group!! The judge was Mr Steve Atkinson.
I have added a new photo to the friends gallery of Neala's niece.
3rd November 2008:
What a great day we had yesterday at Scottish working and Pastoral Breeds of Scotland Champ show. Brook got 1st in post Grad then reserve best bitch, Neala got 1st in Open, best Bitch and also best of Breed, but the day didnt end there she also astounded us by
getting placed working group 4 by the group judge Mrs Brenda Banbury and also won the Champions stakes class. We had a great day catching up with people and thanks to our friends who stayed on to cheer Neala on in the group :-)
October also saw our yearly trip to the club show in Coventry. The bitch judge was Italian breed specialist Guido Perisono. Brook came 2nd in a large post grad class and Neala a respectable 3rd in a huge open bitch class. Thank you to our judge for his lovely comments on both Neala and Brook.
October 21st was Neala's 4th Birthday, I cant believe she's that age already!! I'm trying to remember who once told me not to worry as Leo's calm down by 4? Someone forgot to tell Neala lol.
We now have some potential puppy owners for our planned litter next year, it's getting quite exciting now it's getting closer. If anyone would like any further information please get in touch.
Our next show will be LKA.
3rd September 2008:
New photo's added in the friends gallery page.
29th August 2008:
Last weekend was the Scottish Kennel Club Champ Show. Our judge was Breed specialist
Mr Les Strudwick. We were delighted when Neala was awarded Best bitch and then he awarded Brook Reserve best bitch. Barbara's boy Evo for the 3rd year in a row took Best of Breed. It was nice to catch up as as the August SKC is always so friendly.
28th July 2008:
We travelled down to Leeds champ show on Saturday. I had entered both girls but as they are out of coat wasn't sure about going. I ended up on Friday night deciding to go with Neala as Brook really has lost everything. I think everyone deserved a prize for putting up with the extreme heat. We did our best to shelter under trees but it was still too hot. Neala went on to take BOB under our judge Mrs S Hewart Chambers. Brooks brother Lanta took best dog. After a very long wait we went into the group and made the shortlist so a good day. We are off on holiday soon so no more shows until SKC.
21st July 2008:
Updated Puppy plans and added Southern Counties and Blackpool critique to Brook
and Neala's page.
1st July 2008:
22nd of June we travelled down to Blackpool Champ show with Neala and Brook. It was a bit of a blustery day but dry at least. I was surprised when I got there to see that the judging had moved indoors as I didnt think the weather was that bad. Anyway Brook was in first in the post grad class and done exceptionally well getting placed first. Neala then went into open and also got first place. Barbara then very kindly stepped in again with Brook for the challenge and this time it was Neala's turn to pick up the RCC. We were very pleased. As soon as we got out the ring announcements were made for everyone to leave the showground and at this point the winds were picking up. We packed and left quickly and on arriving home were shocked to find the scenes of destruction at the show site which happened within 30 minutes of us leaving. I think we were all very lucky to get out in one piece and it's a miracle no one was badly hurt.
13th June 2008:
Today is Brooks 2nd Birthday!!! Hard to believe she is that age as I still think of her as a baby. I hope all her littermates have a great day and get spoiled with extra treats.
It's now official, I recieved Neala's Champion certificate through from the Kennel club.
Looks weird to see it in writing but very nice :-)
3rd June 2008:
Well what a few weeks, first Neala gaining her Crown and now Brook gets the reserve CC at Southern Counties champ show. It was a very humid day which wasnt great for the dogs or owners but Brook being Brook and being the athlete in the house strutted round the ring as if she could go on all day and was placed 1st out of 13 in a very strong post grad class. Neala was a bit under par but still managed a 3rd in open. Brook went in again for the challenge and after our judge Breed specialist Mr John Feehan ran as round and round I was absolutely stunned when he awarded her the reserve CC.
SKC critiques added to Brooks and Nealas results page.
18th May 2008:
We are delighted to announce that after gaining her 3rd CC at SKC champ show yesterday Neala (Mandazz Angelic Whisper to Clydebrae) is now a UK Champion (subject to kennel club confirmation). This makes her the 1st Leonberger Champion in Scotland.
The day started off raining which is not unusual for SKC. Brook was in post grad her second time at a champ show and we were thrilled when she got placed 1st in her class. Neala was in Open bitch and we were delighted when she too was placed 1st. As we then had two bitches to show in the challenge we had Barbara step in and help us with Brook, thanks B and sorry for spoiling your dog free day. I was shocked when our judge Mrs Brenda Banbury gave the bitch CC to Neala. BOB went to the dog Seaxa X men owned by Anne and Cathy and gaining his 1st CC hopefully the first of many for him.
Thanks to everyone who was there for making this day so special and congratulations to our friends Donna, Ann, John & Steph on thier dogs places. And not forgetting my travel companion whom it all got a bit much for, and that was withought her usual mini bar :-)
A special thanks to Neala's breeders Darren & Mandy for letting us have this lovely girl along with thier help and advice over the past couple of years.
Both girls also had clear eye tests.
11th May 2008:
Friday we were at The National in Birmingham, it was a really hot day, too hot for the dogs but nice to catch up with everyone. Brook was in post grad for the first time at a champ show so I was delighted when she was awarded 3rd place out of a strong class of 13 qualifying her for Crufts 09. By the time Neala got in around 3pm not only had the heat got to her but also myself and she was unplaced.
4th May 2008:
Not much happening at the moment. I've added a photo of Lennin (Brooks brother) with his owner Steph on the friends gallery. I'm hoping to add more soon and new photo's of the girls.
14th March2008:
Last weekend was Crufts. David and I travelled down with Lins on Friday and met up with out other friends Donna, Kerry and Terri. We went out for dinner and had a really nice night although some people paid for it the next day :-)
The Saturday was Hectic. Brook didnt get placed but Neala managed reserve in Open Bitch. It was nice to see some of our friends at the show and well done to Neala's Breeder who got B.O.B and all the other winner.
New photo of Buan added to friends dogs.
3rd March 2008:
